"HARRY'S LAW" New TV Show
Monday nights, NBC. Don't miss it!! I'm so delighted by this fast moving, clever, in and out of the courtroom show, outstanding dialogue written by that excellent wit, David E. Kelley. ("Boston Legal" was his baby!) "Harry" is for Harriet, a lawyer, played by the marvelous, Kathy Bates. Nate Corddry and several other fine actors appeared on this first exciting episode. Great dialogue, unexpected humor. Hooray for "Harry!" FOUR STARS!

Just finished watching the pilot at www.hulu.com .
ReplyDeleteAs you mention, the script definitely has great dialogue, along with some really good laughs, a few jolts, and outstanding human values. Kathy Bates actually doesn't need words to evoke emotion.
Without your recommendation I wouldn't have seen it.
Hulu's policy for this show is to make each episode available (free) for seven days, starting on the day after it appears on TV (Harry's Law airs on Mondays.). The hulu video player acted a little squirrely for the first couple segments, then smoothed out nicely.
Fun show....and Kathy Bates...fabulous....the supreme Kathy Bates!
ReplyDeletethanks Shakti...I also would not have seen it were it not for your review.
